Opposition Leader in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has hinted that conspiracy is being hatched to derail the democratic system at the time when the country is passing through a crucial stage. In view of crucial time, there is a need to adopt sensible behaviour but the PTI Chief Imran Khan has indulged himself in the individual politics instead of taking the opposition into confidence, he said this while talking to media persons at the residence of MNA Syed Naveed Qamar, here on Wednesday where he came to attend the Soyam of Qamar's father, Syed Qamaruz Zaman Shah.
Accompanied with other PPP leaders including Qamaruz Zaman Kaira, the Opposition Leader said, "We are not against the demands of PTI Chief Imran Khan but have reservations with his way of protest". The government should also make efforts to avert such situation which could cause the losses of lives, he said He said that the PPP leadership had given lives while other party leaders and workers rendered sacrifices by facing imprisonment and lashes during dictatorial regimes only for the cause of restoration of democracy in the country.
He suggested the PTI Chief not to push forward his party workers at the path which could be harmful for them. Imran Khan should realize the crucial situation of the country and avoid any such move which could further deteriorate the condition, he said and added that first, the PTI leadership should come forward for sacrifice as rendered by the PPP leaders.
About the allegations levelled by PTI Chief against him, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said no one could have proved any wrongdoing against him nor any inquiry is under process against him. To a question, he said being the opposition, the PPP had used the Constitutional right in appointment of Chairman NAB. The PPP also wanted accountability and table a bill in the Parliament which also supported by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, he added.
