27 Oct, 2016

Lifebuoy called out to the nation on 22nd October at PAF Museum to celebrate Global Handwashing Day by coming together to High5 and save lives. The event was attended by some of the nation's biggest names with the likes of Fahad Mustafa, Saira Kabeer, Anoushey Ashraf, Adnan Siddiqui and Yasir Hussain present at the venue to encourage the crowd to play their role in raising hygiene awareness.
A recent study shows that 1.7 million children are unable to reach their fifth birthday due to easily preventable diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia. Most of these lives can be saved through simple practices like handwashing with soap; one of the most effective and low cost prevention for illnesses like diarrhea and pneumonia. Unilever Pakistan through its brand Lifebuoy co-founded Global Handwashing Day in 2008 with public and private partnerships. The day which is now celebrated in over 100 countries across the world has served as a powerful platform to extend the message of health and hygiene to billions.-PR
