Ahsan calls for political stability for growth, development

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal said that political stability is the key for growth and development of the country. He said that economic conditions and political stability go hand-in-hand. If there is no political stability then economic stability will either not exists or affected badly.
He expressed these views while addressing 6th International Conference on Business and Management (ICoBM) which was organized by NUST Business School (NBS) in partnership with IBA Sukkur, IM Sciences Peshawar, IoBM Karachi and UMT Lahore. The conference aims to bring academia, corporate, government and speakers together on a single platform.
Ahsan Iqbal said that this is age of knowledge economy and in a country like Pakistan knowledge can provide feasible solution to challenges faced by our society and can also improve the socio-economic situation.
He said that we launched the Vision-2025 to execute the development plan and to give a roadmap for the future economic development of the country. He said the government was committed to economic development and prosperity and places the country's economy among top 25 economies of the world by 2025. He said that there is a dire need to strengthen links between academic institutions, government and industry. While talking about entrepreneurship he noted that entrepreneurs are crucial for any country. They come up with ideas, generate employment and create various synergies that benefit the country in all sorts of ways. While addressing students he said that you must have the drive, ambition and persistence in order to be successful. Positive self image and faith in oneself is the key to success. Minister said that God has provided us an opportunity in the form of CPEC and it will prove a game changer for the Pakistan. Minister said that under US-Pakistan knowledge corridor 10,000 Pakistani students will get PhD from top US universities by 2025.
Principal and Dean NBS Dr Naukhez Sarwar in his welcome address highlighted that 6th International conference on business management focuses on the themes of rapidly evolving areas of human capital, technology and Entrepreneurship. Speaking on the occasion Rector NUST Engr. Muhammad Asghar stated that Pakistan is gearing up to face economic challenges of multifarious nature in the best possible way.-PR
