Women's National Selection Committee comprising Farrukh Zaman and Urooj Mumtaz Khan has announced a 15-member women's cricket team for New Zealand tour and participation in 'ICC Women Championship (Round-7)' in Thailand to play Women Asia Cup 2016. Pakistan women cricket team will play five ODIs and a T20I against New Zealand women cricket team during upcoming tour.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Mohammad Khan has approved the 15-member women's cricket team, a PCB spokesman said. Sana Mir has been named as skipper and Bismah Maroof as Vice-Captain of ODI squad while Bismah Maroof and Javeria Wadood are Captain and Vice-Captain of T-20 squad, respectively.
The selected players are: Sana Mir, Bismah Maroof, Javeria Wadood, Asmavia Iqbal, Nida Rashid Dar, Anam Amin, Sadia Yousaf, Maham Tariq, Syeda Nain Abidi, Nahida Bibi, Ayesha Zafar, Sidra Nawaz (wicket keeper), Aliya Riaz, Iram Javed and Diana Baig. The Team officials for the twin tours are comprised of Ms Ayesha Ashhar (manager), Basit Ali (head coach), Azam Khan (batting consultant), Rifat Asghar Gill (physiotherapist), Ibrar Ahmad (trainer) and Muhammad Zubair Ahmad as video analyst.
