Pak-Afghan ties spread over centuries: Jhagra

KP Governor, Eng Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said the Pak-Afghan relationships are spread over centuries which are further strengthened by shared values of common linguistic, cultural, civic, religious and geographic values. He stated this while addressing a ceremony titled, "Da Aman Khayal", held under the aegis of "Pak-Afghan Journalists Peace Forum" in Peshawar on Tuesday. Rich tributes were paid to renowned Pashto singer Khiyal Muhammad.
The ceremony was also attended by Peshawar-based Afghan Consul General, Abdullah Waheed Poyan, artists, poets, scholars and journalists. The governor said that the role of writers, poets, scholars and journalists is always considered very important to ensuring constructive changes and better developments. He also wished their more useful role towards developing better relationships between both the countries. The governor also appreciated the contribution of Khiyal Muhammad towards promotion of art and culture.
