That it was a highly impressive show of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf at Islamabad's Parade Ground on Wednesday night is a fact. The participation of PTI workers and supporters in such a huge number must have given a boost to the morale of PTI which seemed to have received a battering following party chief Imran Khan's decision to call off November 2 Islamabad lockdown plan following Supreme Court of Pakistan decision to pursue petitions linked to the family members of prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Not only had Imran's decision caused confusion in party's rank and file, his allies such as Sheikh Rashid, the Chauhdry brothers and Allama Tahirul Qadri had also begun to doubt his wisdom and sense of prudence. But Sheikh Rashid was at the Parade Ground. He did not want to lose a golden opportunity to speak to such a huge gathering.
That Imran Khan is not acting prudently is another fact that has found its best expression from his demand that prime minister must resign without any further loss of time. By making such statements he seemed to have been trying to exert pressure on the apex court judges. The former cricketer must not employ such tactics. He must not lose sight of the fact that all eyes are now on Supreme Court. He must show patience and perseverance.
