Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif met here on Friday and discussed various issues of national importance including matters of national security. During the meeting, views were exchanged over country's security situation and challenges faced by the government, the sources said.
Political analysts believed that this meeting was of significant nature in the context of country's current situation. Moreover, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Friday and discussed matters pertaining to country's political situation and promotion of inter-provincial harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz said that progress and prosperity of Pakistan is linked with the development of all provinces. He said negative politics and personal interests are harmful for the development of the country. Shehbaz further said that Punjab government included talented students of KP and other provinces in its educational programmes. KP governor said that credit goes to Punjab Chief Minister for completing public welfare projects in a record period of time.
