The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved two development schemes of different sectors including Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project (from Ali Town to Dera Gujran) with an estimated cost of Rs 405.491 million. The schemes were approved in the 27th meeting of PPDWP of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting. Spokesman of P&D department said here Friday the approved development schemes included Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project (from Ali Town to Dera Gujran) (bridge finance facility to civil contractors of LDA from the Bank of Punjab) at the cost of Rs 391.516 million and hiring of transaction advisory services for construction of the parking plaza-cum-shopping mall at old Municipal Corporation, Faisalabad and construction of the parking plaza-cum-shopping mall at Zail Ghar Katchery Bazar, Faisalabad (PC-II) built-operate and transfer (BOT) mode at the cost of Rs 13.975 million.
