Six killed, 5 injured in tribal clash

Six people Friday were killed and five others injured in an armed clash between two sub-clans of Lashari tribe in Gandawah area of district. The armed tribesmen of two-sub-clans of Lashari tribe including Habiban and Balachni opened indiscriminate fire at each other in Qazi Ismail area of Gandawah, the headquarters of Jhal Magsi district which resulted in death of six men and injured to five others.
"Two sub-clans of local Lashari tribe who have old enmity attacked each others with sophisticated weapons," Deputy Commissioner, Jhal Magsi, Captain Muhammad Waseem (Retd) said who reached the scene and took situation under his control. The Levies Force officials said that six men were killed and five others injured in exchange of fire. The cause was told to be old enmity. The dead and injured were shifted to Jhal Magsi hospital. Later, the injured were referred to Larkana Civil Hospital due to their critical condition.
According to doctors, conditions of three injured were serious. The injured were identified as Master Tofail, Bhama Khan and Mazaro. The dead were identified as Khamisa Khan, Ali Muhammad, Daim Khan, Muhammad Khan and Karim Bakhsh. The Levies Force have registered case against the accused. Further probe was under way.
