ICMAP participates in SAFA events in Colombo

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) is participating in the SAFA events from November 3-5, 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The SAFA events at Sri Lanka, includes a conference which is initiated by SAFA's Committee on Governmental and Public Sector Enterprises Accounting.
This conference is in collaboration with 'The World Bank' in line with their objectives of conducting "Regional Seminar Series on Enhancing Public Financial Reporting to Promote Growth in SAR". This is the first edition of Implementation of IPSAS and Path to Accrual Accounting.
Currently, Pakistan is holding the chairmanship of SAFA Committee, which initiate this conference. Mohammad Iqbal Ghori, Chairman, SAFA Committee on Governmental and Public Sector Enterprises Accounting is also the President of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan. Ghori will deliver its opening remarks and participate as panellist on the occasion with the representatives of The World Bank and International Federation of Accountants [IFAC]. Mohammad Iqbal Ghori has served FESCO [Faisalabad Electric Supply Company] as Chief Financial Officer from 2011 to 2015. He joined FESCO in July 2002 as Manager Finance on contract and than his services were regularised in July 2005 in grade 19 and went on deputation in PEPCO as Director Performance Monitoring and Commercialisation from August 2007 to 2009.-PR
