All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced the provision of free education to 50,000 poor, destitute street children of the province. This was announced during a meeting of the delegation of the association with Speaker, KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser in the Speaker Camp Office at Marghuz, district Swabi. Former MPA Dr Zakir Shah led the delegation of the management of private schools.
The free facilities announced by the management beside free education also include free boarding and lodging facilities for poor, destitute street children. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker, Asad Qaiser lauded the crucial role of private educational institutions in promotion of education in the province.
He said that education atop the priorities of the provincial government and for this purpose it had allocated a hefty amount in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the current financial year. He said that private schools beside increasing literacy ratio in the province are also helping the government in the Achievement of the education sector targets. The association has promised that in this connection a function would be held where PTI chief Imran Khan and CM Pervez Khattak will be invited and thousands of street children will be enrolled for free education in the presence of these personalities. The office bearers of the private schools management association told the Speaker that each private school would be made bound for enrolment of five street children each for free education.
