Public sector hospitals to be revamped on modern lines

The Punjab government has decided to revamp security system of public sector hospitals. In this connection, Safe Cities Authority (CSA) will extend cooperation to Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department in ensuring foolproof security of government hospitals whose security system will be set on modern lines.
A meeting was held between Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah and Chief Operating Officer Punjab Safe Cities Authority Akbar Nasir Khan in which modalities for security system was discussed. Najam Ahmed Shah stated that control rooms and remote data centres would be established for security of the hospitals. Experts of Safe Cities Authority would immediately start audit of teaching hospitals and in the light of their report, a strategy would be evolved to take steps in that regard, he added. Najam Ahmed Shah further stated that control rooms of security of the hospitals would have contact with Rapid Response Force which would respond immediately in case of need.
