09 Nov, 2016

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has condemned the manhandling and physical violence of PTI Worker Aurangzeb by security guards of ANP leader Haroon Bilour. It is hooliganism he added. The injured PTI worker who met the Chief Minister here at Chief Minister Secretariat informed him of the browbeating and physical violence of ANP leader's guards.
He had come along with the provincial Ministers Shah Farman, Muhammad Atif, MPAs Arbab Jehandad, Shaukat Yousafzai, District Nazim Peshawar Muhammad Asim and party workers. The Chief Minister expressed his anguish over what he called the event as uncalled for, unethical, inhuman and undemocratic and assured the injured worker that he would get justice.
He assured everyone present at the occasion that he would not leave his workers at the mercy of hooligans. We are democrats and believe in the true culture of democracy. We would not allow anyone, no matter how influential he might be, to take the law into his hands. His government would stay committed to eliminating corruption and bringing to an end the Kalashnikov culture in the province.
Pervez Khattak said his government was against the VIP culture and discourages it in the province, he added. He reminded that all the Ministers and MPAs of PTI have not been escorted by armed guards and they travel without protocol because we understand that VIP culture is the root cause of all ills and hooliganism in the society. He assured that the worker who got injured, harassed and physically tortured by the ANP leader's security guards would get justice and we would not allow the hooligans an open field. They would be brought to justice, he added.
