The Supreme Court on Thursday issued directives to concerned authorities in Kohistan to inquire about the whereabouts of five girls who were reportedly punished for dancing and singing at a wedding ceremony four years ago. Submitting a report in the matter before a three-member bench of Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan , KPK advocate general stated that after a video of the ceremony surfaced a total of 46 statements were recorded all of which maintain that the girls are alive.
Issuing directives to the local Kohistan police to conduct an inquiry in the matter, the bench sought a detailed report on whether the girls are alive or dead. Hearing of the matter was adjourned for two weeks.
