Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the prevailing peace and stability in the country is the result of sacrifices of the tribal people and jawans and officers of Pak Army. This, he said, while addressing a representative Jirga of Mehsud, Ahmadzai, Doatani and Suleman Khel tribes of South Waziristan Agency at Wana as well as the parents day ceremony of the Wana Cadet College Thursday.
MNA, Ghalib Khan, Senator Saleh Shah, GOC 9 Division Major General Khalid Javed, Commissioner, DI Khan Division, Political Agency, South Waziristan Agency and a large number of tribal elders were present on the occasion. The Governor while appreciating the remarkable performance of cadets said that qualifying commission for Pak Army, Pak Navy and PAF by a visible number of cadets graduated from the college in a short span of time is a visible proof of it. Referring to the reservation of 50 percent seats for the local students, the Governor said that it was meant to offer maximum opportunities to the tribal people to contribute at the national level for development of the country.
