The Sikh pilgrims reached Lahore on Saturday to attend 548th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak-the founder of Sikhism. Chairman Evacuee Properties Board Siddiq ul Farooq warmly received Sikh pilgrims at Wagah railway station. The pilgrims expressed their happiness over warm reception in Pakistan. The pilgrims will visit various Gurdwaras and other Sikh holy places during their stay in Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan has issued visit visas to 3319 Sikh pilgrims on the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. Special arrangements and strict security measures have been taken for the 3-day event that will begin from Sunday.
