Veteran leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Jehangir Badr died after cardiac arrest in Lahore, Aaj News reported late Sunday night. Quoting family sources, the news channel further said that he was a kidney patient for long. Badr was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was 72.
He was one of the eminent leader of PPP and a trusted lieutenant of slain PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. He also served party as secretary general. He also authored many books.
