This is apropos a Business Recorder news item "Failed coup in Turkey: Erdogan addresses Pakistan" carried by the newspaper yesterday. The visiting Turkish leader had profusely praised the Pakistani government and the nation for condemning the failed coup in an instant manner.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan was thankful to Pakistan for playing a highly positive role in his government's failure. During his address to the parliament, he spoke about a variety of issues. One of that the issues touched was the challenge of terrorism. Erdogan made it clear that terror grous like Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and al Qaeda have no links whatsoever with Islam as it is the West which is supporting the terror outfits.
According to him, terrorist elements are creating chaos in the region, adding the sole purpose of their nefarious designs is to harm Muslims and bring a bad name to Islam.
Erdogan was profound. Wasn't he?
