Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the law enforcement agencies (LEA), particularly Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have played an effective role in restoration of peace in the Karachi. He expressed these views while talking to the Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major General Bilal Akbar who called on the CM's House on Friday.
Shah further said that the political will of the PPP government, unflinching support of the people of Karachi and untiring work and sacrifices of law enforcement agencies had helped make Karachi peaceful. "It doesn't mean that our work has been finished. We have to make Karachi peace durable through our collective wisdom and strategy," he stressed.The DG Rangers briefed the chief minister on the targeted operation in Karachi, co-ordinated action against terrorists, recent high profile arrests and future strategy that was discussed and decided in the last Apex Committee meeting. They also discussed the security plan for anniversary of Chehlum of Imam Hussain.
