Agricult-ure experts have called for creating awareness and adopting food safety measures to overcome the food hazards and ensuring health for the public.
It was echoed at 2-day training workshop on culinary arts and formal serving techniques concluded here at Institute of Home Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.
The participants were also enlightened about food hazards, physical and chemical hazards, sanitation techniques, safety measures, and personal hygiene.
Dean, Faculty of Food, Nutrition and Food Sciences Professor Dr Masood Sadiq Butt, while distributing the certificates, said that if we ensure the healthy food and lifestyle, the issue of increasing ailment and malnutrition can be addressed effectively. He said that establishment of Punjab Food Authority was a hallmark step which is bringing tangible results regarding providing safe and hygienic food for the people.
