Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) organized a train trip from Peshawar to Attock-Khurd in collaboration with Pakistan Railways. The participants of the train tour consisted of females of International Women Club (IWC), civil society members, children & youth, photographers and media representatives. The train trip was arranged by TCKP from Peshawar and took female participants through the old Victorian Railway station built in 1880 at Attock-Khurd.
MPA & Parliamentary Secretary Ms Fouzia Bibi was the chief guest at the occasion and part of the train journey as well. Besides, the Managing Director TCKP Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, GM TIC's Ali Syed, Consultant TCKP Zahoor Durrani and others were also present at the opening of Train trip.
As part of the joy ride passengers were greatly amused with live Instrumental music on this joyful excursion. A number of fun filled recreational activities competitions were also arranged at the river bank like Kite flying, Camel ride, Tug of War, Uphill race & Archery.
Attock-Khurd, located in Attock district of Punjab, houses the historical Attock Fort built by the Mughal king Akbar in 1581. Bahram ki Baradari is another Mughal-era monument situated at the ridge of mountains on the southern side of the Grand Trunk Road near Attock-Khurd.
