On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,006. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.05 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,393. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.31 billion followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.01 billion, crude oil PKR 518.46 million, silver PKR 195.84 million and copper PKR 19.02 million.
