Admiral Zakaullah bids farewell to CoAS

Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif paid a farewell call on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah at Naval Headquarters, on Saturday. Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the dignitary was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him the Guard of Honour.
Later, General Raheel Sharif called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office. During the meeting, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah acknowledged and commended the remarkable services of General Raheel Sharif during his tenure as Chief of Army Staff.
Admiral Zakaullah highlighted the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb which accentuated positive effect on Pakistan's security, stability and progress. He attributed this landmark achievement, immensely to the sincerity of purpose and intrepid leadership of General Raheel Sharif.
General Raheel Sharif thanked Admiral Zakaullah for the whole hearted support offered by Pakistan Navy during his tenure and highly appreciated Pakistan Navy's role in safeguarding maritime frontiers. While highlighting importance of Pakistan Navy, CoAS said that contributions being made by Pakistan Navy to guarantee impregnable seaward defence will have a far reaching impact as it is a pre requisite for the success of CPEC.
General Raheel Sharif also appreciated significant role played by Pakistan Navy in extension of Pakistan's Continental Shelf, which has opened new vistas of economic prosperity for Pakistan. While appreciating professionalism of officers and men of Pakistan Navy, CoAS said that Pakistan Navy is one of the best Navy of the region.-PR
