Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will send its five experts to participate in 5th International House Keeping Olympic Games Antalya-Turkey to be held from 13th to 22nd January, 2017. Selection of these experts is being finalised from TEVTA trainees who got training from TIKA in March this year. It was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing the selection committee at TEVTA Secretariat here yesterday.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that these experts are being selected from 50 teachers who got training from Turkish International Co-operation Agency (TIKA) Turkey in hospitality sector at Lahore from March 1 to 12, 2016. Participation of TEVTA experts will expand their exposure while participating in international competition in which experts of other countries are also taking part.
Invitation of Turkish Government to TEVTA Teachers to participate in international event is a part of mutual co-operation of both countries. Chairperson TEVTA further said that Turkish International Co-operation Agency (TIKA) has already provided state of the art machinery and equipment for Government Institute of Emerging Technologies, Township. Almost recruitment of this centre has also been finalised. This institute will be functioned to offer garment related courses to youth from next month, he concluded.
