IGP directs to collect data of jail visitors

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera on Tuesday directed all the police officers to collect data of the visitors who come to meet their relatives in jails so that the department could be able to nab criminals as well as their facilitators in case they are involved in any criminal activity or leave their place of residence after committing the crime.
Addressing a conference through a video link, the IGP also expressed that a front desk at all the police stations should be made functional before January. While passing the direction, he said his department has provided all the necessary equipments to the police department for the front desks at police stations and he will personally visit all such desks. During the conference, CCPO Lahore, RPO, DPO, Additional IG Operation and Investigation, DIG Headquarters, DIG establishment, RPO Sargodha and other senior officers were present. IGP Sukhera further directed the police department to launch a campaign against criminals.
