Bejligar Club Mardan took berth into the final of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Inter-Club Hockey Championship after defeating Khadium Club Bannu in a thrilling semi-final played here at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium on Tuesday. Besides the semi-final match between Bejligar club Mardan and Khadium club Bannu, two more matches of the league round were also played.
In the first match of the day's proceedings Bejligar club Mardan took the lead through Jawad Khan, the center striker, on the field attempt but soon Khadium Club Bannu tied the tally 1-1 when Karim Khan netted a fine goal through field attempt. Karim Khan took the ball at the 25-yard area and quickly zooned into the D area where he netted a superb goal to make the tally 1-1. In the other match Civil Quarters Club Peshawar beat Shaheen Turbela Club Haripur by 4-1. Shaheen club took the lead in the 5th minute through Ihsan Ullah but on the other hands Junaid, and Hamza scored one goal each while Saeed scored two goals. Haroon Khan, Amir Hamza supervised the match while Master Khan, Tehsin Ullah and Qaiser Khan acted as field judges.
