Barry's outclassed Lahori Badshahi by 9-21/2 in the inaugural match of the Lieutenant General Shah Rafi Alam Memorial Polo Cup 2016 played here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Tuesday. Hamza Mawaz Khan was hero of the day, who splendidly guided Barry's to thrashing victory over low-ranked Lahori Badshahs. With marvelous mallot and horse work, Hamza slammed superb seven goals while Raja Samiullah contributed with a brace.
It was all alone Hamza in the first chukker, who scored a hat-trick to provide Barry's 3-0 lead. The super hero continued his sublime form in the second chukker by contributing another hat-trick to increase the lead to 6-0, which was further enhanced to 7-0 by Raja Samiullah. The third chukker saw Hamza and Samiullah converting one goal each from the winning side. No goal was scored by Lahori Badshah players, despite having two and half goal handicap advantage.
