Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Wednesday arrived at the Air Headquarters, Islamabad on his maiden visit after assuming the charge of office at Joint Staff Headquarters. On his arrival, he was received by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, a statement said.
Afterwards a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented him the Guard of Honour. General Zubair also laid floral wreath at the Martyrs' Monument to pay homage to the Martyrs' of the PAF. He was introduced to Principal Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force.
Later on, the CJCSC called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, in his office. Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional interest. General Zubair lauded PAF's instrumental role in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and appreciated the sound professionalism of PAF personnel. He also expressed his satisfaction on the combat readiness of Pakistan Air Force and the progress made in various on going modernisation / up-gradation programs.
