The competent authority has approved the promotion of PA-19617 Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa HI (M), Inf to the rank of General and appointed as Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) w.e.f. 29th November 2016, a notification No 3/11/D-2(A-II)/2016-B, dated 26.11.2016 received from the Ministry of Defence, Rawalpindi said.
