JUI-F leader for Fata to have status of province

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl central naib ameer Maulana Fazal Ali Haqqani has said the century old draconian law Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) should be abolished and the tribal belt should granted status of separate province. He was addressing to oath ceremony of Jamiat Tulab-e-Islam Fazal Ali Haqqani held in the college hall in Landi Kotal, tribal Khyber Agency on Wednesday.
He said that the tribesmen were fed-up of FCR that need to be replace with Islamic code of life. Counting benefits of separate province for the tribal he said that they would have their own assembly, governor chief minister and 24 tribal Senators beside its due share would be fixed in National Finance Commission (NFC) Award.
On December 18, JUI-F has convened peace conference at Shah Tehmas Stadium, Peshawar where merging of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would resent and demand would be made for separate province for the tribesmen, Haqqani remarked. Maulana Haqqani urged the students to join JTI as it is best forum for them to be trained as preacher of Islam. Noor Islam, Mufti Ijaz and Qari Jihad Shah also spoke on the occasion. Beside students large numbers of JUI-F workers and tribal elders participated in the gathering. At the end Fazal Haqqani administered oath to the newly elected cabinet of JTI in degree college, Landi Kotal.
