Jamaat Youth Wing's polls from January 1

Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Wing has announced to hold a phase-wise inter-party election in district Peshawar from January 01, while membership drive will launch from December 23, in this regard. The announcement was made by JI district president, Sabir Hussain while addressing at a news conference at press club here on Thursday.
He was flanked by the JI Youth Wing Peshawar president Mohammad Siddique Rehman Paracha, Gerneral Secretary Sayar Mohammad, Secretary Information, Mushtaq Ahmad Khalil, and other office bearers. Sabir Hussain said that the party general secretary, Ateequr Rehman, will be nominated as election commissioner for the election.
He said the electoral exercise will be conducted under different phases in 92 union councils of the district Peshawar. Besides, he said elections will also be held in two wards of cantonment area.
According to schedule, he said the nomination papers will be submitted with district election commission from December 11 to 13, during which scrutiny, objections, final candidature lists, and allotment of symbols, will be issued. He said people under age of 35 will become member of JI Youth wing. About the electoral code of conduct, Sabir Hussain said every member will cast one three votes for president, general secretary and cabinet member. He said no restriction on candidates for running electionary campaign. He explained that every candidate will hoist one bill-board and small panaflex, along with presenting positive agenda before the youth wing members.
In country, JI leader said the ratio of youth below age of 29 is around 64 per cent, adding that 13million youth of the total population of 19million, as stronger force, which could play important role in development and progress of the country. He said his party is taking measures to provide them platform to express their ability and energy in efficient manner.
