Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari endorsed the demand from Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Shah for including Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project in CPEC as the city was catering to people from all over Pakistan and was under intense need for smooth public transport.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah called on the PPP Chairman at Bilawal House on Friday to offer congratulations on successful holding of week-long celebrations of 49th Foundation Day of the Party held in Bilawal House, Lahore. On the occasion, Chief Minister informed the Chairman that he had put forward the demand before the Federal government to include the long-pending Karachi Circular Railway in the CPEC to meet the over-growing public transport needs of the city. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Sindh government's demand was genuine and Federal government should accept it without any further argument, so that the commercial hub of the country can also benefit from the vital initiative.
Syed Murad Ali Shah also briefed him about the on-going development schemes and overall law and order situation in the province, especially in its capital. PPP Chairman praised the Sindh government and law enforcing agencies for improving law and order situation to a great extent and stressed that all the development schemes should be completed in time without any delay.
