Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has issued special directions to provincial administration and senior officials of Health Department from London that all out measures should be taken for provision of quality health services to the patients in government hospitals. He directed that commissioners, district co-ordination officers and Health Department officials should pay regular visits to hospitals.
He said that provision of quality health services is the responsibility of district and divisional authorities which should be discharged at any cost. The Chief Minister directed district and divisional authorities to ensure improvement of medical facilities in government hospitals and put every effort in providing best healthcare facilities to the masses.
He said that medicines worth billions of rupees supplied to government hospitals should be available to deserving patients at any cost. He said that common man should benefit from the huge sums allocated for the uplift of health sector. He said that ailing humanity should be served with a spirit of commitment and dedication. He said that elected representatives, administration and those associated with health sector should make all out efforts in the service of ailing humanity.
Shehbaz Sharif said that no negligence will be tolerated towards improvement of public health sector. He said that attendance of doctors and staff should be ensured in hospitals throughout the province. He said that provision of quality and modern treatment facilities to masses is his mission and he will not be content until satisfactory results are achieved.
The Chief Minister assured that there will be no shortage of resources for improvement of conditions in hospitals. He said that attendance of senior doctors in hospitals is essential for ensuring modern treatment facilities to patients. He said that Punjab government has taken a revolutionary decision to provide CT scan machines in all district hospitals which will result in availability of CT scan facility to the people at their doorstep. The Chief Minister further said that effective reforms have been introduced for improvement of health sector and result-oriented measures have been taken for development of health sector and provision of quality treatment facilities to the masses.
