Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said, "The sacrifices rendered by state institutions have destroyed terrorist dens in the country." The Prime Minister was addressing the National Seerat Conference in Lahore on Monday. The Prime Minister urged Ulema to play their role in curbing extremism in the country. He also said that they should lead the nation into becoming a modern Muslim country.
He said, "The whole world agrees that a constitution is necessary for a country to remain modern whereas respect for humanity is the first pillar of the society." He said, "The Holy Prophet (SAW) presented a charter of human rights to guide us on interfaith relations". He urged the Ulema and scholars to play their due role in guiding the nation.
