Shahbaz meets Turkish delegation

A high-level Turk delegation led by President, Presidency of Religious Affairs Turkey Dr Mehmet Gormez met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town recently. Pak-Turk relations and promotion of religious harmony, brotherhood and tolerance were discussed in the meeting. It was also agreed to extend co-operation to each other for the promotion of religious harmony, cohesion and brotherhood on the pattern of trade and economic relations between Turkey and Pakistan.
The Chief Minister strongly condemned bomb blast in Istanbul and expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives. The Chief Minister and participants of the meeting also offered Fateha for the departed souls. The Chief Minister felicitated the Turk delegation and Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that the Holy Prophet gave the message of unity and brotherhood among Muslims and the solution to all the problems being faced by the Muslim Ummah lies in the teachings of the Holy Prophet. The head of Turk delegation Dr Mehmet Gomez felicitated Chief Minister and Pakistani people on the occasion of Eid e Milad un Nabi and thanked him for taking out time for the meeting despite being a holiday.
