Ebad meets Zardari in Dubai

14 Dec, 2016

Former Sindh governor Ishratul Ebad Khan on Monday said that he recently had a meeting with former president and Co-Chairman Pakistan People's Party Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai. Dr Ebad, who has been away from the limelight since leaving his office, returned to the scene when he attended a public gathering in Dubai. While speaking to the press, Ebad said that in his meeting with Zardari, political developments were discussed.
However, the former governor reiterated that at the moment he is not planning to play his role in the politics. Sources privy to the development said, it was third meeting between the two leaders in a week. Dr Ebad was replaced by former Justice Saeed uz Zaman, after serving as Sindh governor for 14 years. He took oath in December 2002 and has been the longest-serving governor in Sindh.
Dr Ebad stirred controversy after former Karachi mayor and Pak Sarzameen Party chief Mustafa Kamal hurled corruption allegations at him. Calling him 'Rishwat ul Ebad' in a fiery press talk on October 17 he demanded that he should be placed on the Exit Control List.
