A team of FIA has brought prime suspect in Baldia factory fire incident, Rehman Bhola back to Pakistan after he was caught in Thailand. The suspect was brought back to the country using emergency passport. Earlier, Bhola was arrested in Thailand by Interpol. During interrogation by Interpol, Bhola alleged that Hammad Siddique of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) ordered setting fire to the factory. He also claimed that other members of MQM were involved in the crime.
Owners of the factory were asked to comply with demands of extortion money and upon their refusal, the factory was set on fire, Bhola revealed. Sources privy to FIA stated that a court will be approached on Wednesday to acquire remand of the prime suspect. A factory in Karachi's Baldia Town was set on fire in 2012 and a report of Pakistan Rangers revealed later on that a political party was involved in the incident.
