Three alleged terrorists killed in Rangers operation

At least three alleged terrorists were killed in an intelligence-driven targeted raid by Rangers personnel at Yousaf Goth, in the wee hours of Thursday. According to a paramilitary spokesperson, two personnel were also injured due to firing by the miscreants. Rangers troops cordoned off the area and heavy exchange of fire took place during the operation.
One of the accomplices managed to escape, while a heavy cache of automatic weapons & ammunition was recovered. Separately, police arrested three accused during an operation in Shah Faisal Colony. Police sources said that the arrested accused were involved in several cases of street crime.
On the other hand, one person was killed and another wounded in firing incidents in New Karachi and Landhi areas. The arrested terrorist of a banned outfit has made sensational revelations during police investigation. The terrorist was apprehended during a police operation in Mubeena Town area of Karachi. Arrested terrorist named Shahid alias Shahidu informed police that his 10-member gang used to collect fund to buy weapons for the purpose of target killing in Karachi.
He said that his gang collected Rs 450,000 through extortion during Ramazan which was handed over to gang leader Wasi. He also revealed that his gang killed several people in Karachi. He further informed that three members of his gang were killed in exchange of fire with police. Meanwhile, in Federal B Area Block-11, a robbery attempt in a house was foiled by area police. The personnel detained an injured suspect, while his associates managed to flee from the spot.
