Khalid leads in KP National Ranking Open Golf

Khalid Khan of the City University with his gross five under 67 score over 18 holes was the leader in the 26th KP National Ranking Open Golf Championship being played here at 6666-yard PAF Golf Course on Saturday. Khalid carded two under 34 at front nine and three under 33 at back nine with two birdies each at front and back nine, hitting four birdies at hole No 1, 2, 12 and 17.
It is worth mentioning here that the national and international golfers attributed their first day to the martyred of APS, resulted 54-hole match reduced to 36-holes. International golfer M. Munir and Minhaj Ahmad of Islamabad Gymkhana with their gross score four under 68 struggling at second. M. Munir carded 68, two under 34 at front nine and two under 34 at back nine with three birdies.
Minhaj carded 32, four under at front nine and 36, par at back nine with six birdies and a single bogy at hole no. 13 par 4 and hole no. 14 par 4. Ansar Mehmood of Pakistan Navy carded three under 69 with 34 two under at front nine and one under at back nine scoring four birdies and a single bogy. National team member Muhammad Naeem carded two under 70 with 36 par at front nine and 34, two under at back nine scoring five birdies at three single bogy at 2, 3 and 9.
Pakistan No 1 Taimur Naseer of Pakistan Air Force carded 70, two under par, 33 at front nine and 37 at back nine with four birdies and two singles bogy. Surprisingly Wisal Khan did a Hole-in-One on hole no. 5 but the car was on hole no. 7. He carded 70, two under par, 37, one over par at front nine and 33, three under par scoring four birdies and two single bogy.
M. Zubair of Islamabad Gymkhana with two under 70, 37 at front nine and 33 at back scoring three birdies and two single bogy at hole no. 1 and 7. Muhammad Naqash, Zeeshan Khan, Haroon Rashid of Frontier Corps, Naseer Khan, international golfer Hamza Amin carded one under 71 each and Chairnar Gul, Afzal Mohsin of Hyderababad Club scored 72 par. A total of 220 golfers from across Pakistan are taking part in the Championship.
