Smartphone manufacturer Huawei amazed everyone at its event yesterday by unveiling new flagship phone series, the Mate 20.
At its event held yesterday, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei released its new super-sized Mate 20 flagship phone series that included a premium phone, the 6.39-inch Mate 20 Pro, a more affordable but larger phone, the 6.53-inch Mate 20, and also a huge 7.2-inch Mate 20 X, a phone that is even bigger than an iPad mini.
Not only this, the tech giant also introduced a leather-clad Porsche-branded variant of the Mate 20, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS. All the phones feature more efficient CPU and GPU, longer battery life, Leica camera components, improved AI capabilities, and also Huawei’s version of Android EMUI 9 OS.
As per Mashable, Huawei has decided to put up the Mate 20 X as a gaming phone because of its graphene film and vapor chamber-based cooling system, which the firm says lets extended periods of gameplay without overheating. It features a massive 5,000mAh battery and also an M Pen stylus.
In terms of size, the Mate 20 Pro is a bit smaller than the two other phones, but facilitates premium feature like other such as 4,200mAH battery, in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock and front-facing 3D camera. Also, despite the smaller OLED display, the phone has a curved screen, much like rival Samsung Galaxy S9+.
The phones have a triple-lens rear camera system with new ultra-wide angle lens. The triple rear cameras also contain new features such as Cinema Mode. Where the Mate 20 and Mate 20 X feature 12, 16 and 8MP rear cameras, the Mate 20 Pro comes in with 40MP main rear camera along with the other wide angle and zoom lenses. The phones come in up to six solid, matter or sleek ombre-esque colors.
What’s more is that the tech giant included fast wireless charging in the Pro and Porsche models. Its SuperCharge allows the phone to power up to 70% in only 30 minutes. The phones contain a new mode called Reverse Charge that lets user to charge another person’s phone via their own.
Apart from the incredible smartphones, the company announced its own format of memory card, Huawei NM Card, which fits in the nano-SIM slot and is smaller than the usual microSD cards. Also, new smartwatch Huawei Watch GT and fitness tracker Huawei Band 3 Pro too were revealed at the event, according to Pocket-lint.
