It is quite heartening to note that all federal and provincial governments have ended bickering ahead of December 29 CPEC Beijing meeting. According to a Business Recorder report, the federal and provincial governments have decided to take up the case of Pakistan jointly and effectively during the forthcoming meeting of Joint Co-ordination Committee (JCC) on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) scheduled for December 29 in Beijing.
Consensus has been reached between the federal and provincial governments to make China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (PCEC) a success for the brighter and prosperous future of the country. The 6th meeting of the JCC between Pakistan and China is scheduled to be held in Beijing on December 29 this year. Ministers, senior officials and experts from both countries would review progress on the ongoing projects under the CPEC framework on this occasion.
This is of course a huge breakthrough as consensus eluded our policymakers on the execution of this highly important economic development plan which is being widely termed a 'game changer' and a 'fate changer'. Sanity seems to have gained ground. This will surely augur well insofar as the prospects of the economic corridor are concerned.
