KP Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that students are the precious asset to contribute a pivotal role in making the country developed in accordance with the present day needs. With quality education, imparted today to youth he added, our nation will come at par with socio-economically developed countries of the world. Indeed the universities can play immensely vital role in creating cream of the nation by providing quality education, he added.
He expressed these views while presiding over the senate meeting of University of Peshawar at Governors House, Peshawar on Tuesday, wherein lengthy agenda of further streamlining and working of the institution was dealt with. The meeting beside others was also attended by Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr Muhammad Rasool Jan, Secretary Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other members of the senate of the university.
The Vice Chancellor of the university briefed the meeting regarding administrative, research, curriculum activities in the university. Meanwhile, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed called on KP Governor, Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here at Governors House, Peshawar on Tuesday.
He remained with the governor for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest. Meanwhile, provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Pir Syed Sabir Shah also called on the governor and discussed matters related to the well-being of the people of the province.
