Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that Kabul should be included in the Moscow trilateral consultation process on Afghan conflict. In a statement issued here on Thursday, he contended that the Moscow Moot was of vital importance which would go a long way in resolving the Afghan imbroglio. However, he added that the Moscow Moot would not go ahead towards its ultimate objectives without participation of Afghanistan.
Sherpao said the regional peace and security could only be achieved through durable peace in Afghanistan. QWP chief said Moscow trilateral Moot consisting of Russia, China and Pakistan was a healthy move to evolve strategy for the war-battered country. He said the objection of Afghanistan over non-inclusion in the Moscow Moot was justified and it should timely be removed and the Moot should be extended as quadrilateral conference.
Sherpao continued that the effective participation of Kabul would be instrumental in addressing the Afghan conflict. He regretted that security situation had been deteriorated with the rise of IS in Afghanistan. QWP chief said the regional states should bury their hatchet and extend cooperation for eradication of terrorism and extremism so as prospects of peace could be improved. He added that peace was essential for the development and economic prosperity of the region.
