PTI not registered any case against Shehbaz Sharif: Ali

17 Oct, 2018

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan Wednesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government did not register a single case against the Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.

Former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif was apprehended by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Iqbal housing scheme case, he said talking to a private news channel.

The minister said NAB was an independent institution, which was working against all the corrupt elements without any discrimination.

He said NAB Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal was appointed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party with consensus.

The opposition was leveling baseless allegations against NAB and the PTI government, he added.

Ali Muhammad Khan said PML-N during its government had registered bogus cases against Prime Minister Imran Khan, adding a PTI MPA was also sent to jail in fake case during the last regime.
