Nisar seeks details of woman languishing in IHK jail

The Ministry of Interior has sought details from Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi pertaining to a Pakistani woman namely Robina, who has been languishing in a jail in India-held Kashmir (IHK) for the last four years.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, the Interior Ministry on the instruction of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has asked Pakistan's High Commission in New Delhi to provide all relevant details regarding Robina.
Nisar has also instructed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to collect facts from the address that has been surfaced and present a detailed report to the ministry by Tuesday (today).
Earlier, media reports claimed that Robina, a resident of Hyderabad, has been languishing in a jail in IHK for over four years along with her minor girl.
These reports further claimed that Indian authorities have presented a report before a court in the IHK that Robina could not be sent back to Pakistan as Pakistani authorities have not verified her nationality.
