Winter Tree Plantation campaign inaugurated by Professor Dr Mujeebuddin Sehrai, Vice Chancellor Sindh Agricultural University, Tandojam, by planting a tree at University Hostels, an extensive Tree Plantation was organized, by Hostel Provost. Talking to inaugural ceremony, Dr Sahrai said that every one person is utilising wood of two trees in his life, so he emphasised that it is moral obligation of an every human being to plant two trees at least.
He said that the environmental awareness is a global issue, because the 'green house effect' and 'global warming' all are caused due to human activities, ultimately, resulting in the overall climate change that is drastically affecting our environment. We are depending on the resources and vegetation of Mother Nature for our daily needs. Thus, stakeholders were motivated to plant more and more trees in campus, colony, hostels, forms and all surroundings wherever the place is suitable for plantation as being the role model of green campus SAU Tandojam.
Vice Chancellor, as well as deans Dr Saffar Mirjat, Dr Sagheer Ahmed Sheikh, Dr Noor Muhammad Soomro, Dr Maqsood Anwer Rustmani Dr Aijaz Ali Khunharo, Registrar Hafeezullah Memon, Director Finance Aneel Kumara, President SAUTA Dr Naimatullah Leghari, Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Qamaruddin Chachar, Muhammad Ayoob Baloch, Manzoor Ali Magsi, Muhammad Ali Sangi, and a number of teachers, employees, officers and students planted the trees at hostels.
