On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,057. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.03 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,148. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.89 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.70 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.23 billion, silver PKR 176.84 million, copper PKR 20.53 million and Brent crude oil PKR 7.86 million.
