Imran asked to shun politics of 'lies and confrontation'

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday advised Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan to focus on serving people of the country and stop the politics of "lies and confrontation." Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court, she criticised Imran Khan for his remarks on the inauguration of different development projects by Prime Minster Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
"I urge the Chairman PTI to focus on development and serving the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country instead of telling lies; otherwise, he will have to reap [after 2018 general elections] what he sows," she said, adding it was inappropriate to criticise the Prime Minister for inaugurating different development projects.
She said that the uplift projects aimed at bringing development and prosperity in all provinces and these schemes would be completed by 2018. She maintained that the PML-N will make its mark in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the next general elections because of its services it has rendered to the people. "Had Imran Khan done any development work in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he would have been cutting the ribbons like the Prime Minister is doing around the country," she added.
She accused the PTI chief of continuing with his politics of lies, adding Imran Khan is hampering the process of development. Commenting on the hearing of the Panama Leaks case in the Supreme Court, she said that all political lip service on Panama Papers case will end once the party lawyer presents evidence before the court. To a question, she said that the practice of discussing the case outside the court should be avoided as per the directions of the apex court's judges, adding the judges have stopped to do politics on their remarks inside the court. "Imran Khan has set up a court outside the court whose objective is to hamper the development of the country," she maintained.
