On Monday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,079. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.85 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,428.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.55 billion, it was followed by gold PKR 1.46 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 738.69 million, silver PKR 58.19 million, copper PKR 31.94 million, Brent crude oil PKR 5.62 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 8 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 3.10 million were also traded.
