Shah threatens to launch protest against withdrawal of subsidy on fertilizer

Leader of Opposition in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPP-P) will launch a protest in and out of the Parliament if the government does not resume subsidy on fertilisers. The Opposition Leader expressed these views while talking to media in his chamber at the Parliament House on Wednesday. "We will protest to show solidarity with the farmers," he said.
He said that on one hand agriculture sector is facing crisis in the country while on the other, the government is withdrawing subsidy on fertilizers. He said, "We will also stage sit-in against the government's policies about the farmers." The Opposition Leader said that the government had announced package for small farmers till 2018 but it withdrew it before time. He said that announcement of industrial package of the PML-N government is beginning of pre-rigging of general elections 2018. He said that Election Commission of Pakistan should take notice of the package announced by the Prime Minister.
